Heating and cooling controls

Transmission Choices
SyncroPlus 12/4 transmission has 12 forward speeds and 4 reverse speeds. Ranges and speeds are fully synchronized, allowing you to shift on-the-go. First and reverse gears are positioned in-line for easy forward/ reverse shifting.
Optional Power Reverser16/16 has 16 forward and 16 reverse speeds, plus a left-hand reverser for clutchless direction changes that speed up loader work.
An electric left-hand reverser is standard on the Power Reverser 16/16 and PowrQuad transmissions. Simply select the direction with the easy-to-use lever.
24/24 PowrQuad Plus Transmission with 40 km/h is available on all models to provide you with more gears in the main working range, more flexibility.
16/16 PowrQuad Plus Transmission offers four powershiftable speeds in each of four fully synchronized ranges. All shifting between ranges can be done with the single-lever range shuttle in combination with the clutch.
Get smooth gear changes, even under load, thanks to SoftShift. The advanced John Deere engine/transmission team integrates the engine in shifting operations, briefly and automatically adjusting engine speed to create smooth shifts. It’s standard on both PowrQuad Plus Transmissions for top comfort in all working conditions.
Loader-tractor compatability
Full-length frame
The full-length frame takes on load stresses, even when the bucket is filled unevenly, to reduce stress and twisting forces on the engine and drive train components. The engine is independent from the frame with rubber isomounts.
Clutch
The reliable, self-adjusting PermaClutch 2 main drive clutch features large diameter disks to provide ample surface area to transfer power effectively. Cooled and filtered oil services the clutch after each engagement to help prevent heat build-up. You get long-lasting performance and smooth modulated engagements.
Hitch
As versatile as you need. The unique three in-one hitch rail lets you use a variety of connections, from pick-up to ball, wagon to piton. No matter what system you use, these tractors can accommodate.
Hydraulics
Powerful lift capacity and high flow rates. The pressure compensated load sensing hydraulics feature up to 65 L/min and up to four SCV’s for hydraulic power. Optionally on the 6830 and 6930 you can choose a pressure-and-flow compensated system with up to 110 L/min.
PTO
Simple speed change – A reversible 6 and 21 spline stubshaft on the 540/1000 or 540/540E/1000 PTO options gives you added implement versatility.
